Circondato di riconoscimenti e collaborazioni con i più grandi registi italiani del suo tempo, Nino Rota è stato un compositore tra i più prolifici e poliedrici del Novecento italiano. L’orchestra, protagonista della sua opera per il cinema, ricopre un ruolo importante in tutto il suo lavoro, anche nel mondo delicato e complesso della musica per solista e orchestra.*
